Life’s Little Pleasures – Baking Pizza Tiger Girl Style
The kids have always love eating pizza and recently even Tiger girl has been asking for pizza. As it really isn’t that cheap eating pizza at a restaurant we decided to make our own for lunch.
I have baked pizza a few times with the kids but it was the first time that Tiger girl was participating in the pizza baking activity.
She was thrilled to be able to get her hands into plying the dough from the bowl to the tray and adding in the pineapple cubes.
Our little chef posing for the camera besides her creation .
.
She waited patiently for about half and hour before the pizza was baked and cooled enough to eat.
What better pleasure in life then enjoying a baking session with my favourite little girl 🙂
Here is the recipe that I used to make the pizza.
For the pizza I made the dough before hand using this recipe.
Ingredients
-. I packet active yeast
-. 2 1/2 cup bread flour
– 1 teaspoon white sugar
– 1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon olive oil
Method
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in flour, salt and oil. Beat until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round. Transfer crust to a lightly greased pizza pan or baker’s peel dusted with cornmeal. Spread with desired toppings and bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let baked pizza cool for 5 minutes before serving.
For the toppings for the pizza we used the following
– pineapple cubes
– Mozzarella cheese
– ham
Do you bake together with your kids?

This is a great bonding moment for both of you! The pizza looks yummy, replete with all my favorite ingredients too. I can just imagine the glee on her face and probably the excitement she had when you were both preparing the ingredients from scratch 😀
Have a happy Sunday!
