Beautiful Ambition: My Secrets to Love, Happiness & Success by Tara Brooke is the latest motivational book written to inspire women to go for their goals which I have read. In her book Tara writes about her personal journey to living her dream.
She talks about being positive and having the right mindset is essential to securing your ticket for success. Tara mentions the need to set SMART goals and a detailed plan on how you will go about to achieve it. You have to write down clear and realistic goals and follow through step by step in order to achieve what you want.
Many women struggle to find the balance between being generous and pursuing their personal or professional goals Most of them do not know what they themselves want for themselves or are too easily influenced by others who may not have their best interest at heart.
Tara gives real life examples of Angeline Jolie and Oprah Winfrey among other influential women who are really remarkable. Their determination and relentless pursuing of their goals have shown that nothing is impossible.
My Thoughts
I love how there is a summary of each chapter at the end with the main points as it makes it easier to understand the gist of the message being proclaimed in the chapter if you are pressed for time. Tara gives very practical step by step tips on the key areas of how to set your goals, understanding yourself, make prudent decisions to create your future, positive attitude, money management and about sisterhood.
I definitely recommend this book to all ladies out there who are seeking to change their life and reach for their goals.
