The Worst Christmas Presents Ever – Chuck it in the Bin

Mama's Losin' It

Christmas day is just around the corner. I hear festive music being played on the radio and television.  Christmas is suppose to be the season where little kids look forward to receiving presents. However as one ages the novelty and hype dies down getting presents are not as important as it used to be.

There was this one Christmas my little boy received one of the worst Christmas present ever from this relative.  Luckily he didn’t open the present there and then when it was given to him. He would have been so bitterly disappointed with what he would have seen.   I don’t mind recycle presents as  long as they are thoughtful and age appropriate for the recipient. What really disgusted me with the present was that it was a real cheapskate act of give giving with a real piece of junk. Which adult in their right mind would wrap up a door gift given free to them at an annual dinner and give it to a three year old?  It even had the company’s logo printed in bold on it.   We all knew this relative was famous for recycling presents but this has gone way over the line for me.

I promptly place that present where it should have been- in the bin. It was great that kids at that age have a very short memory and he forgot about that present as he was more busy playing with his cousins. When he finally came around to opening up all the presents given to him that year he didn’t realized that he was short of one.  It didn’t matter though.

From that year onwards I made a mental note to myself to hijack the kids presents and do a check to see if it is worth opening.

Deliciously Wicked- Tom’s of Marine

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Toms of Maine. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have always been shopping around for  all natural dental hygiene products. There are so many chemicals being used in toothpastes and mouthwashes that may have bad side effects if used for extended periods of time.  The toxins that we may unknowingly consume may damage our kidneys and liver and trigger off eczema and skin problems.

Tom’s Of Maine is one company which is extremely transparent in the ingredients used for their dental products. Having a history of 40 years, the company is committed to creating products that are environmentally- friendly and non toxic.

Wicked Fresh!™ Toothpaste is something I would like to get my hands on.  Made from natural flavor oils and botanical extracts, this toothpaste not only would give one cavity protection but also provide a long-lasting fresh breath. You can find the list of ingredients which go into the toothpaste clearly listed out on their site.

At $4.99 for a 5.2 oz tube the price is comparable to other leading brands in the market.

Using the toothpaste with ?Wicked Fresh!™ Mouthwash would complete my twice a day oral hygiene routine. I would have not only a fresh breath but also my whole mouth would be clean. This would certainly keep any bacteria and decay at bay.

To celebrate the launch of their new range of Wicked Fresh!™ products. Tom’s Of Maine is having a contest whereby you will be able to win prizes by simply sharing your Wicked Fresh Moments. Just click on the link below to be taken to their contest.
