Thoughts for 2009

My family photo- From Dominique's Desk (c) 2009

[Photo was taken during our photoshoot with the family two years ago for Roy’s 1st birthday. ]

I thought I start of the new year by posting about the changes I intend to implement here on this site- My goals and wishes for this blog and the kids.

I will come up with monthly series on themes that I intend to address with my kids.- academically, arts n crafts and spritually.

I will be also trying my hand on making podcasts to add to this blog to enrich the content here and make each stop here more entertaining and informative for my valued readers.

I am still working on my e-book on multilingual parenting. It has taken longer then expected and I do hope to be able to launch it by the end of 2009.

If there is any topics/ questions you would like me to address feel free to drop me a comment or fill in my contact form and I will get back to you personally. šŸ™‚

Wishing everyone a good start toĀ  2009 and Gong Hee Fatt Choy for the upcomming Chinese New Year Celebration at the end of this month.

Weekend Party at JWT Gym

This weekend the kids attended a friend’s daughter’s birthday party atĀ  JWT Gym. It was the 1st timeĀ  that the boys attendedĀ  a birthday celebration at such a venue. They had fun going on the slides and playing the game organized by the party organizers.

I remember I brought Ryan to this gym once when he was 1+yrs old for a free trial class. They do have quite a good gym syllabus but it is rather pricey for my liking. [It is about $300 per term of 10 lessons.]

I would rather take them to the 3-4 free playgrounds around the neighbourhood which I find are more challenging and interesting as the slides are higher and cater to an older range of kids.

The highlight of the party ,for me , was the cuting ofĀ  the cake as it was the 1st time that I was catering cakes forĀ  a birthday party.

PrincessĀ  Cake and pink cupcake theme for the little princesses 1st birthday.

How did you spend your weekend?
