Parents should really supervise their children especially in the learning process to guide them as they grow up. Some parents were so busy that they just entrust their children to nannies which could not give them the education that they need.

@Maria,
Yes parents play an important role in developing a child. I have seen how kids suffer from parental neglect and are unable to reach their potential in the kids I teach in school. I aim to be fully active in my boys development.

@Sophia,
I agree with what you say. I'm taking the opportunity to teach them as much as I can while they are still very "absorbant" :)

I think it's so important for parents to play an active role in continuing to try and stimulate your children's mind. These are all great tips. One think I like doing with my older son is playing creative games where we make up stories and act (try) to act them out.

Great tips Dominque. Thank you. I've always read to my daughter and she just loves book. Their brains are like sponges and they absorb so much information. My daughter would recite word for word, page by page of a story. It looked like she knew how to read!
