August roundup
August had been a very hectic month for me. There has been lots of changes and an influx of ongoing projects to handle. I have been in a reflective mood as I have been starting new routines and discarding old inefficient ones. Hopefully September will be a more productive month for me.
Showing some Month End Link Love to the blogs that I frequent on my google reader.
- ApronString & Angst- Willow blogging about her life and being mom to two teenage kids. Through her writings I get an inside into what I may be facing 8 years down the road when my toddlers become teenagers.
- All About Your Child- Angeline’s blog about her daily tribulations looking after her two toddlers in another part of this sunny island. Through reading her posts I get an inside to how other Singaporean mothers are coping with their kids.
- Blisfully Domestic by Allison aka Mrs Fussypants who has one of the most witty posts that I have read. I love her excellent photoshop skills and admire her ability to run such a popular online magazine site while at the same time caring for her 5 kids. If only I am as capable as her.
Next month is Halloween and I’m certainly looking forward to Trick n Treating. Over at PipinParty they are giving away Halloween Recipe ebook from Groovy Kids Parties! It has 50 awesome recipes with 3 bonus e-books. Do hope over there to participate in the Halloween festivities.

Weekday Date- Camera Shopping

Today Hubs too time off to bring me to the Comex exhibition in Suntec. It has been a long time since we went for a date without the kids. It seems surreal that I did not have to deal with the constant interruptions, screaming and shouting from the boys. We packed them off to school and had a leisure breakfast before heading down to Comex.
I managed to get the Camera that I was eying and hub’s promised for my birthday. I will have to wait till the boys go to bed tonight before I can unpack the new camera from the box.:)

TT- Ryan on the Piano
After learning piano for nearly 1 year Ryan is able to play some pieces independently.
Here’s Ryan playing the piano. He is now able to co-ordinate both hands.

Fun outing in the rain

Last weekend we braved the intermittent rain to bring the boys to the Jurong Bird Park. It was the 1st time that they have been to this place of attraction. We didn’t spend much time there as it was raining off and on while we were at the park. We did manage to catch the children’s bird show and went around on the monorail.

The birds were well trained and some of them could sing and speak very clearly while performing tricks. It was great fun for the boys. How did you weekend go?
